Dishonored 2's Patch 1.2 Goes Live, Improves Framerate For Many

Dishonored 2 is taking, shall we say, "baby steps" toward getting back in Steam players' good graces. With the Beta patch of 1.2 releasing just yesterday, Arkane Studios clearly expedited the process and released today the live patch to all Steam owners of Dishonored 2.
Reports on how well the patch works are as varied as the reports of whether the game worked upon release - for some, it's a resounding yes, for others a "meh," and for the unlucky few an "absolutely not." It seems for at least a good portion of people, though, Patch 1.2 has resolved the bulk of their issues.
The main issue many were facing was a bout of sporadic framerate drops. Some report is mostly affecting AMD graphics cards, but, unsurprisingly, this issue is affecting people who don't meet the recommended requirements the hardest. "I have a GTX-760," one Steam user writes "The update does improve the framerate a little bit." A Reddit user writes "As it stands on my [GTX]960m, I'd expect 60fps."
I, myself, experienced a sub-par framerate for the duration of my review, but since I don't meet the recommended requirements, either, it didn't seem fair to dock the game too much. While I definitely noticed improved framerate with this new patch, the visuals seemed to still be suffering, with rampant jagged edges ("jaggies") and other issues that made it less than pleasant to the eye.
With many people still affected by these nagging PC issues, it doesn't seem Arkane Studios is done trying to reach a resolution. All indications are that this is the bulk of the work, but more is still to be done. Dishonored Tweeted today "As we have new info on title updates, we'll let everyone know."
